Started writing this as a feature request but can see you beat me to it! Ha.
Many gym members encounter periods where they need to temporarily pause their memberships due to reasons such as travel, injury, illness, or other personal circumstances. Currently, pausing a membership might require contacting customer service or visiting the gym in person, which can be inconvenient and time-consuming. By enabling users to pause their memberships directly within the app, GymFlow can streamline this process, reduce the burden on customer support, and improve user satisfaction. This feature will provide users with flexibility and convenience, enhancing their overall experience with the GymFlow service.
“As a member, I want to be able to pause my gym membership directly through the app,
so that I can manage my membership more conveniently without needing to contact customer support.”
Benefits
User Convenience: Simplifies the process for users to manage their memberships, reducing the need for customer support intervention.
Enhanced User Experience: Improves overall satisfaction by providing a self-service option for a common request.
Operational Efficiency: Reduces the load on customer service teams, allowing them to focus on more complex issues.
Retention: By offering a pause option, users are more likely to stay engaged with the gym, as they can easily manage temporary breaks without canceling their membership entirely.
Potential Risks
Misuse of Feature: Users may abuse the pause feature, leading to potential revenue impact. To mitigate this, a limit on the number of pauses or total pause duration within a year could be imposed.
